About 60 baby sea turtles trying to make their first foray into the water lost their way and ended up marching into a restaurant in Calabria in southern Italy, huddling under the tables of the surprised diners.

Conservation workers say the turtles were probably thrown off by the bright lights of the beachside eatery. Someone at the restaurant called coastal authorities after the initial surprise wore off.

Rescue personnel including workers for the World Wide Fund for Nature rounded up the lost turtles and released them into the sea.
